Portuguese Gag French Link

This bit is made of stainless steel which is guaranteed never to bend, break or rust. It consists of a hollow mouthpiece with a French link, and a three-ring cheek. With the cheekpiece attached to the top ring and the rein on the bottom ring, this gag comes midway between a French snaffle and a regular gag. The French link removes the nutcracker action and is therefore kinder to the horse’s mouth. Many horses are more comfortable in a bit with an extra link. The Portuguese cheek adds leverage which creates both poll flexion and more control.
